Double page spread- First draft

Double page spread article- First draft
After months of speculation and whispers of 'he said', 'she said', Sam Martin has confirmed that the band have decided to part ways.
He revealed the news on their website after a lengthy argument with a fellow member of the band. During the argument, the 23-year-old claimed that it was Tim Goldberg, who walked out on group.

The outburst was seemingly triggered by a recent interview in which Tim, 24, said: 'I'm not gonna lie. I haven't seen or spoke to or spent any time with the band for a few months and it's tough. It's not the same. We were together for so long and now it does get lonely.'

Sam took to the social networking site twitter to call his band mate out on the claim, writing: ‘You know my number mate, I don’t know yours because you haven’t given it to me since you changed it, don’t make out to our fans that we are In the wrong because you were the one who walked out on us and them.’

The tweets stirred a huge response from fans arguing over who was to blame for the row and the breakup. One fan said "I love the band, I am probably their biggest fan, I hate the fact their arguments have caused them to break up they all rock individually and together as a group they were amazing, Im devastated to say the least"

The remaining members of the band; Sam Martin, Lucy Smith and Tony Wilson want to persue the band but leave Tim Goldberg to do his own thing and find himself. Band member Lucy Smith said "He was an amazing person but showed his true colours when he decided to just cut us all out out of his life, he began to believe that he was better than the rest of us and felt he had outgrown the band and that he was able to go on and do better things, but that will not stop us from reaching our dreams, even if it means replacing him."

The band have big plans for the future including worldwide tours, new albums and even a fragrances. Tony Wilson said "Just because Tim walked out on our fans doesn't mean we will, they mean everything to us and we wouldnt be the people we are today without them! We will continue rocking for years to come."

Tim Goldbergs walk out has inspired the band to work hard and become bigger and better than they have ever been before. Some may say its a good thing that Tim has left and that the band can now concentrate on making music rather than arguing, only time will tell.

Mood Board

For my mood board I have chosen specific images that link in with the genre of music I have chosen to base my magazine on. The images are all quite dark and have used colours such as red to make certain things stand out, this is something I will bare in mind when creating my own magazine and deciding on what colour scheme I will use so it is clear that my chosen genre is punk rock. I have also included images of NME magazine as that is the magazine that I am going to use as my inspiration.
